Drummoyne Pool opened for summer today. The water is a beautiful 25 degrees C and the new bathrooms and diving blocks look immaculate.
Swim Club starts Saturday 6 October 2018
The 2018-19 season of Drummoyne Swimming Club will commence on Saturday 6th October 2018 at 7.30am at Drummoyne Pool.

AGM next Monday
A reminder that Drummoyne Swimming Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held next Monday 27th August starting at 7.30pm in the Water Polo Club Room at the Drummoyne Swimming Centre.
The Club has a wonderful group of volunteers and continues to be a vibrant community club. If you are interested in making a greater contribution, becoming more involved or have experience to assist the Club in the areas of marketing, administration, technology, fundraising or social media, please contact Club President Tim Doolan on president@drummoyneswimclub.com.au.
Bathroom renos looking schmick!
The newly renovated bathrooms at Drummoyne Pool are looking great!
A big thank you to the City of Canada Bay Council for upgrading our facilities over the Winter break, including the installation of new diving blocks.
Only two weeks to go until we dip our toes back in the water and make use of the new changing rooms to freshen up.

Winter Swim Club next Sunday cancelled
As a number of families will be away on Sunday 12th August 2018, we have decided to cancel the Winter Swim Club scheduled for that day at Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview.
Drummoyne Pool opens up on 1 September, so not long to go until we can start training at our favourite venue again!
Drummoyne Club swims across English Channel!
Congratulations to Club Champion Annette Jamieson, Club President Tim Doolan and John Cunningham for successfully crossing the English Channel on Friday 3rd August 2018 in a time of 11 hours 53 minutes.

New Start Blocks Installed!
Thanks to the support of the City of Canada Bay Council and the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Grants Program we are pleased to announce that brand new start blocks have been installed at Drummoyne Pool for our Club.
The Swimming Centre’s bathroom amenities have also been completely renovated. They look amazing and are on track for completion by 1st September 2018, when Drummoyne Pool opens for the 2018/19 season!
Cancellation of Winter Swim Meet on Sunday 28 July 2018
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Winter Swim Club meet that was originally scheduled for Sunday 28th July 2018.
The final Winter Swim Club meet will go ahead on 12th August 2018 from 4pm-5.30pm in the 25m Heated Indoor Pool at St Ignatius College, Riverview, Longueville.
Swimming is for all ages and abilities. The 25m indoor pool is warm, clean and well set out – perfect for winter swimming. Friends and family who are not Club members are welcome to join in and try out.
The meet will have a short, sharp fun programme, including 25m, 50m and 100m Freestyle, Medley, 50m Butterfly and a Team Relay. All races will be handicapped and timed using the Club’s computers and wireless timing system.
We will have plenty of prizes on offer, including a raffle and an Epic Pizza voucher for the winner of the ‘Epic Medley’. Cost is $5.00 per swimmer, which includes raffle tickets.
To help cater with numbers, please reply to this email if you intend coming along or RSVP via the Team App.
