Congratulations to Christian Taylor on an outstanding performance in the 2015 NSW 10 Years & Under-12 Years State Age Championships, winning gold in the 100m Backstroke and bronze in the 200m Backstroke.
Gold for Bronte Marshall at the Special Olympics!
Congratulations to Bronte Marshall, who was selected to represent NSW at the Special Olympics Nationals held in Melbourne on 20-25 October 2014. The Nationals are held every 4 years between swimmers from every state.
Bronte had an extremely successful campaign, returning home with the following medals:
- Silver Medal in the 50 metres Freestyle
- Silver Medal in the 4×50 metres Individual Medley
- Gold Medal in the 100 metres Breaststroke
Bronte’s strong performance has put her in contention for selection to represent Australia in the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles and we wish her all the best!
Christian Taylor wins 100m Backstroke in NSW State Age Championships
Congratulations to Christian Taylor on an outstanding performance in the NSW State Age Championships on 17-18 January 2014.
Christian achieved a gold medal in the 11 year old Boy’s 100m Backstroke and a bronze medal in the Boy’s 11 years and under 200m Backstroke. He rounded his medals off with these other impressive results:
- 4th place in the 11 year old Boy’s 50m Freestyle
- 6th place in the 11 year old Boy’s 100m Freestyle
- 17th place in the 11 year old Boy’s 4 x 50m Medley
- 20th place in the Boy’s 11 years and under 200m Freestyle
Christian Taylor wins 100m Backstroke in NSW Metropolitan Championships
Congratulations to 11 year old Christian Taylor on winning the Men’s’ 11 years 100m Backstroke event at the 2013 NSW Metropolitan Championships at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Sunday 7th December 2013.
Christian also came:
- 4th in the Men’s 11 years 100m Freestyle event,
- 11th in the Men’s 11 years 100m Butterfly, and
- an impressive 28th against older boys in the Men’s 13 years & under 200m Backstroke

Christian Taylor’s Gold Rush at the 2013 Australian School Championships!
Congratulations to 11-year old Christian Taylor, who has returned from the 2013 School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Adelaide with a swag of gold!
He competed in the following four events, winning three gold medals:
- 50 metres Backstroke (1st place)
- 100 metres Backstroke (1st place)
- Member of 4 x 50 metre Freestyle relay team (1st place)
- 50 metres Freestyle (6th place)

2008 Pacific School Games – Canberra
Congratulations to Bernadette Flannery and Jack Slater for outstanding performances in the 2008 Pacific School Games in Canberra in the week ended 6 December 2008.
Bernadette won a gold medal in the Mixed 200m Medley Relay, a bronze medal in the Girls 50m Breaststroke and finished 4th in the Mixed 200m Freestyle Relay.
Jack shaved one second off his personal best time in the 100m Breaststroke, finishing up a credible 14th against extremely stiff competition.
Nicholas Smyth Gold at MetSEA Area Championships
Congratulations to Nicholas Smyth, who has excelled in the MetSEA Area Championships on 30 November 2008, including a win in the 100m breaststroke and 2nd places in the 200m backstroke and 200m Individual Medley, continuing the strong tradition of our Club in regional events. Jack Slater smashes 50m Breaststroke Club Record!
Congratulations to Jack Slater for smashing his own Club Record for 50m Breaststroke in the Championship event on 6 December 2008, setting a new time of 34.23s in his Heat and 34.70s in the Final.
