This Saturday is our last meet before we break for the festive season. Happily the invitation we sent to PO Box No 1 NORTH POLE was received and Santa Claus has confirmed he will be attending swim club this week. Santa says he knows which kids have been naughty and which kids have been nice and that he’ll have a bag of goodies to share with all his friends at Drummoyne.
On the swimming front, this week we have:
Event | Detail |
Form Stroke | 50m Breaststroke Championship race 30M or 20M Breaststroke |
Sprint | 50M Freestyle 30M or 20M Freestyle |
Distance Event | 200M Freestyle 4 x 30M Freestyle 4 x 20M Freestyle |
In the new year
Swim club will start back up again on Saturday the 20th of January.
Battle on the BAY 2024
Drummoyne Swimming Club will be hosting Battle on the Bay in 2024. The date is being confirmed but as usual we will be battling it out with swimmers from Leichhardt, Ashfield and Enfield. We will need lots of helpers on the day and we’ll also need additional prizes to raffle off.
120th Birthday
2024 marks Drummoyne Swimming Club’s 120th birthday. To celebrate we are planning a couple of events including a huge birthday party at the end of the season. Keep an eye out for more details.
Laps for Life
We’ll be participating in the Laps for Life Challenge again in 2024 to raise funds for Reachout.com.
Girls looking for a holiday activity in January?
The Canada Bay Cannons AFL club would like to pass on an invitation to join them at their Free Youth Girls (5 to 15) AFL Development Clinic in January. The clinic is an opportunity to build on your current skills, and learn new skills in a fun welcoming environment over the school holidays.
