We’ve come to the end of another summer swimming season and it’s time for the annual family fin day races and the 800M Freestyle Championships.
800M Freestyle Championship
First up we have the serious side of things. The 800M Freestyle Championship race is open to everyone. Racing starts at 7:00 sharp.
Family Fun Events
The 800M will be closely followed by our favourite races of the year, including:
- The thong race – BYO flip flops or grab a pair from the lost property box in the swim club control room before they are donated to charity [there are a few there :-)], and
- The inflatables race – BYO inflatable Unicorn or other animal or boogie board.
- The Geribo Cup (Chocolate Trophy) Relay – get your teams together and be ready to nominate your team members first thing on Saturday morning, and
- The Family Relay – who can know off the Svoboda family this year? Blended families required and welcome…
Breakfast
If you are not lucky enough to be part of the Geribo Cup winning team or you want more for breakfast than chocolate… come along to the Watershed Kitchen after the day’s festivities for a final post swimming breakfast.
