This March we’re swimming “Laps for Life”!

As a second charitable initiative, we’re proposing to get involved with Laps for Life in support of youth mental health.

Laps for Life is a swimming challenge that raises money to support youth mental health initiatives by Reachout.com.

Why Laps for Life?

One in four young people in Australia is currently experiencing a mental health difficulty, and 70% of those who need help, don’t get it. This isn’t the only concerning statistic, as sadly, suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.

For me, mental health is a very personal topic. Having experienced mental health difficulties, I understand how tough it can be and the toll it can take on your life. I want to assist as many people as possible to improve their mental health.

What are we doing?

We’ll be counting laps from Junior Squads towards a goal of swimming 10,000 metres.
