Relays are always a highlight of school swimming carnivals, the annual Battle on the Bay and those other lesser swim meets like the Olympics. So, this season we are looking to introduce two new relay races into the swimming calendar:
- The “Canada Bay Cup” – a race in which residents of the various suburbs in the Canada Bay LGA will square off against each other to see which is the fastest suburb. This relay race will be held in the first half of the season and we currently seeking confirmation that Mayor Angelo Tsirekas will attend and present the trophy (and hopefully swim!)
- The “Battle of the Schools” – kids and adults will race against each other to see which is the fastest school in the club.
