Our second Winter Swim Meet is on this Sunday 16^th June 2019 from 5.00-7.00pm at the Gartian Centre Indoor Pool, St Ignatius’ College, Riverview.

Bring your family and friends to trial it out and stay fit during the winter season. Swimming is for all ages and abilities, with races managed by our computerised handicapping and timing system.

Cost: $20 for the winter season.

What a fantastic night we all had on Saturday night for our Annual Awards Dinner Presentation. With over 130 senior and junior attendees, special guest speakers, trophies, medals, disco, giant raffle, dancing, show bags and mountains of delicious food. It would have to be our biggest and best presentation night ever.

Thank you for all of those who bought tickets in our raffle. We were able to raise worthy money for the club and congratulations to all those who won the awesome prizes, especially the Romaniuk’s ha ha ha.

Another big congratulations goes to Kylie Donnellan who won the “Dessert bake-off” competition which was judged by our very own Mayor Angelo Tsirekas. Well done Kylie. You can make cake for us any day! 😊

Lastly a big thank you to everyone who helped make it an extraordinary night. Special mention goes to our President Tim Doolan and Secretary Sophie O’Brien and their kids for all their efforts leading up to the big night. Another special mention goes to Duncan Lyon and Annette Jamieson for getting all the trophies engraved and organised for the night. Great team work everyone! 😊😊

Last weekend several Drummoyne Swim Club members swam in the MS 24 Hour Mega Swim at Sydney Olympic Park Pool.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who swam their lungs out around the clock for 144km – the equivalent of swimming from Drummoyne to the Blue Mountains and back!

In the process they raised around $20,000. An AMAZING effort for a very worthy cause. Well done teams!
